I've already shared about how I intend for 2017 to be the best year of my life. I also firmly believe that such a tall order is solely my responsibility. I can't expect others to build my castle, so I'm going to get my hands dirty.
I'm making big promises & I'm taking massive action. I'm also taking risks, because what's life without them? I guess my specific motto for 2017 is yet to be written, but let's call it a happy blend of childlike "YOLO" and a driven "HBIC."
Earlier this week, I was made aware of a contest hosted by Ellen DeGeneres & Nutella, in which you were to share how you "Spread the Happy."
And I thought, "Well.. I have a great story, and a lot of energy to spare. Why not?"
I put together this video - voiceover, filming, editing - only to realize that I had already missed the deadline.
I was bummed, mostly about all of the time I had spend in creating this project. But I thought.... "You know what? This is still something worth seeing." So I sent it anyway.
I love my story, and I think she might too. If I remain reserved, who benefits?
Maybe this video will collect dust in Ellen's inbox.
Maybe this video is just to justify to myself while #FeelGoodFriday still exists in the first place.
You can say a lot about me, but you can't say I haven't tried.
So, my fellow somebodies:
And most of all: be happy.
